Conditions
It is recommended that
you purchase some form of Holiday Insurance from your local broker
to cover you for the holiday.
Booking and
Payment
All telephone bookings are only provisional and will be held for
five days. A non-refundable deposit of £75.00 per week secures your booking.
The balance of the holiday is due eight weeks before the start of
the holiday.
If you make a
booking less than eight weeks before your holiday, the full amount
is payable at the required time of booking.
All cheques and
postal orders should be made payable to "Norman Mayhew"
The caravan is let
on weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday, although in the low
season we are happy to allow short breaks from either Friday to
Monday or Monday to Friday. Please
email or ring for prices and
availability.
General
Holiday guests are asked to treat our holiday home with respect and
make sure that you leave it as you found it in a clean and tidy
condition as you will be held responsible for any damage to the
caravan or its contents. We check and clean the caravan ourselves
every week.
We are unable to
accept single sex parties or groups under the age of 25, as this is
a family holiday park.
Park-Resorts at
Thorness bay reserves the right to require any party to leave the
site should any behaviours be unacceptable or cause a nuisance to
any other holiday makers.
Well-behaved pets
are allowed but if they cause any damage you will be liable for the
cost. No smoking is permitted within the caravan please smoke
outside.
Extras
Club passes can be
included in the cost of you holiday, or you can purchase them from
the reception when you arrive. If you would like us to purchase the
club passes for you these are £48 per full week and £31 per short
break in high season (24th May - 31st August). All other dates are £35 for a full week and £25 per
short break. These are for the main guest and up to seven other
people. This works out at only 86p per day for eight people in high
season and entitles you to use all the facilities including the
swimming pool, clubhouse, children's clubs and all other evening
entertainment laid on by the resort.
Please ensure that
your car is parked sensibly do not cause obstruction to the other
guests on the park, do not park on the grass as if it rains heavily
overnight your vehicle could get stuck.
Arrival and
Departure
On the day of departure the caravan needs to be vacated by holiday
guests by 10.00am, and the new holiday guests can only enter from
4.00pm onwards.
You must ensure
that the keys returned to reception on the day of departure. Failure
to do so will result in a charge of £10.00 to replace the keys.
Cancellations
and Refunds
Should the caravan become unavailable due to circumstances
beyond our control a full refund will be given.
If you have to cancel your holiday, you must notify us in writing or
email. The date of cancellation is the day when we receive written
notification In the event of cancellation, charges apply as laid out
below.
If you have to
cancel the holiday due to accident or illness, written confirmation
will be required along with a doctor’s note.
If you cancel more than 42 days (six weeks) before your start date,
then you will forfeit your deposit.
If you cancel within 42 days (six weeks) you will be liable for the
following percentages of the total holiday cost (excluding deposit):
- Cancellation
between 21-42 days before holiday start date: 50%
- Cancellation
between 14-20 days before holiday start date: 60%
- Cancellation
within 13 days before holiday start date: 100%
We do not own the
caravan site therefore cannot accept responsibility for alterations
to facilities from those advertised.
IN CASE OF
DISPUTE OUR DECISION IS FINAL
